Under the direction of the UIC/Tournament Director, Legends Ballpark must be cleared out immediately once lightning is within a range of 10 miles or once thunder is heard. The complex will be cleared out for 15 minutes after the last lightning strike within that 10 mile radius.
Teams/fans/workers must either be under the overhang, inside the dugout or outside Legends Ballpark while there is a delay. Players are not allowed to be out on the field while there is a delay. If a team is on a field during a delay, the Tournament Director has the option to take further action, if necessary.
The Tournament Director will use Lightning Pro to check the weather and where lightning has struck.
The Tournament Director will also let teams know if there is a delay or cancellation of games before or during the tournament and will contact coaches by phone and send out an email as well.
