The 2022 Engage Dodge program through the City of Dodge City is set to begin on the evening of April 12 and is open to the entire community. Applicants are being accepted until 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 7. Engage Dodge is an interactive educational opportunity designed to introduce citizens to city services, programs, and the employees who serve the Dodge City community.
“We had great feedback after revamping the program in 2021 and hosting our first class with the new structure,” said Human Resources Officer Tara Schraeder. “Our goal is to have residents leave each session with a deeper understanding of how each department operates.”
“Participants will learn about challenges to city government, how the budget works, and get a glimpse of day-to-day operations. The program will consist of informative presentations and tours that focus on City of Dodge City departments and functions. The program is an ideal way to become more familiar with all aspects of your local government, including the Airport, Fire & Police Departments, Zoo, and so much more!”
The 2022 Engage Dodge program will begin on April 12 and consist of eleven evening sessions. The sessions will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 PM to 9 PM. For the last session, participants will attend a City of Dodge City Commission meeting for recognition of their commitment to learning more about the city government.
Additional information for each session will be provided regarding the itinerary and meeting locations. All participants in the Engage Dodge program are highly encouraged to attend all sessions.
